★★★★★★★★★★DbVisualizer: A Reliable Hub for Mission-Critical SQL and Sensitive Environments What do you like best about DbVisualizer? DbVisualizer is a fixed hub of connections that always stay with you, and where you can manage sensitive environments (prod, staging) with individual banners (red, yellow) for warning and identification (to be warned to be careful before you execute the sql on prod). It has your back for mission critical sql, and it also has all db specifics in check (like showing you timezone specific date information / simulating a different time-zone for showing the time-zone specific data-fields, helping you with hard to research problems like transaction safety and deadlock situations by providing sql windows for concurrent execution of sql side-by-side, and many more things you need as database specialist of full-stack-dev). It provides you with a great history of your logs where you can search in to profit from your already learned experience. It has been a great support in my career as software developer for quite some years, and i especially like that it always keeps up with recent drivers and brings in new databases and the UI has also greatly improved with a modern interface, and it also works on Linux! Also great are its export and import capabilities. You will find great use in being able to export Table Schemas when you need to construct those tables again you SQL seed files, or similar tasks. You can even let it process long running big data imports from script files safely. They also have specificaly good customer support, where you really get helped when having a problem with specific instructions and guide to help you get on track again with very fast answer frequency (often on the same day) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What do you dislike about DbVisualizer? There is not much. The only thing i can think of, is that the SQL History gets a bit slow over time if you like to keep everything! like me. Then it starts to slow down a bit when you click on the history and you need to wait until it shows up. Also the startup time of the tool can be a bit slow (in older versions). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.What problems is DbVisualizer solving and how is that benefiting you? When you are a programmer of a SaaS (Software as a service), you will have different environments your software runs on (local, dev, staging, beta, prod) and you want to be able to help your product owner in bringing value to your customer. This can often also involve tideous tasks, like correcting defect data in different environments, setting up test-data, checking data-integrity.There are many tools in this regards, but if you plan a long career this tool really does not let you down, because it has functionality that can help you on a daily basis! just like your IDE (Intellij, Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, ...) it is a tool you will mostly start on a daily basis, as it will help you visit your database schema, visualize it, and profit from seeing table relationships / foreign-keys in a very good and intuitive way that gives you an advantage for your know-how when you write the code (as you will be able to better understand existing database schemas, which are often the basis for a good architecture). DbVisualizer Streamlines Data Gathering Needs into 1 Application DbVisualizer streamlines my query needs by making it a one-stop shop. I have MongoDB, T-SQL, Oracle, etc. connections set up so I can access everything from one simple query tool. I like how I can connect to multiple database types from one application. I also like being able to quickly view the data without having to write or wait for a default show less

We use dbvis to test database connections during the installation of our product on customers' servers. This lets us verify that a connection is not 'lost' on the way to the database. As a professional likely in software development or ERP consulting, based on potential TIPTOP expertise, I use DbVisualizer for scenarios like querying Oracle databases underlying TIPTOP systems to debug custom scripts, analyze data integrity during migrations, or visualize schema structures for 4GL development. It could aid in performance tuning by executing complex SQL queries, exporting reports for analytics, or testing integrations with external tools. In a Taiwanese tech context, this show less

★★★★★★★★★★Easy to Learn, Seamless Database Integration, and Great SQL ...
★★★★★★★★★★Easy to Learn, Seamless Database Integration, and Great SQL History What do you like best about DbVisualizer? The platform is very easy to learn and use. It integrates seamlessly with a wide variety of databases, without needing to download separate files just to ensure connections. We use DbVisualizer every day to better understand our data repositories and to build meaningful data tables that can then be used in other platforms for end users. There are plenty of customization options available, which means less time spent reworking data and scripts to make everything fit for purpose. The SQL history feature is also great: I keep the 300 most recent entries visible, and the summary for each query makes it easy to quickly find the one I’m looking for. What do you dislike about DbVisualizer? There isn’t much to dislike; the only thing I can think of is one small frustration. If I have a window open—say, the Data Monitor—and then open the SQL History window, the Data Monitor closes. It would be better to be able to keep multiple windows open at the same time, so Data Monitor, SQL History, Tool Properties, etc. can all stay open together. What problems is DbVisualizer solving and how is that benefiting you? Our data is spread across a variety of databases and tables, and finding the right combination—especially when several are similarly named—can sometimes take quite a bit of time. This platform helps by providing a clear tree view of the structure and letting me write my SQL query while immediately seeing the output it will generate. From there, I can migrate that SQL to whichever platform the end user will be using. It’s simple, streamlined, and straightforward. View ↗

★★★★★★★★★★Dbvis going strong since 20 years We use dbvis to test database connections during the installation of our product on customers' servers. This lets us verify that a connection is not 'lost' on the way to the database. As we use JDBC as our primary connection method, DBIS provides an easy, additional, and independent way to test the connection. We use dbvis to check stored data, review table structures and metadata (e.g., when selects or inserts fail), and verify table permissions for the user who is having connection issues. We love the in-cell data editing feature, which is much easier than building SQL queries for every entry. This also allows a quick manual review of the stored data, even with large tables, and fixes the most obvious errors instantly. We test, build, and also 'deconstruct' SQL queries when there is a need to check on long-running queries. This helps us identify, for example, misused indices and other issues. We use it to easily export complete tables and data for a wide variety of DBMS for our customers and ourselves. It helps us visualize relationships and identify faults that are often not obvious within our codebase.Pros Easy visualize Db-data. Connect to a wide range of Dbms. Ease of data manipulation. Managing a great number of different Db-connections. Work with big queries.Cons Support for troubleshooting on a Dbms level. Automatically suggest syntax differences with different Dbms. Sharing of Db connections. Startup time. View ↗

★★★★★★★★★★Elevating Database Efficiency DbVisualizers Edge Over Competitors As a professional likely in software development or ERP consulting, based on potential TIPTOP expertise, I use DbVisualizer for scenarios like querying Oracle databases underlying TIPTOP systems to debug custom scripts, analyze data integrity during migrations, or visualize schema structures for 4GL development. It could aid in performance tuning by executing complex SQL queries, exporting reports for analytics, or testing integrations with external tools. In a Taiwanese tech context, this tool supports multilingual environments, enabling efficient troubleshooting in version-specific Oracle Database /MSSQL, ensuring compliance and optimization without direct UI access.Pros mass data update database structure for administration flexible theme & fonts adjustmentsCons The warning message when the button is enabled may need to be clarified. I also want a layout with left and right sides.(for query & result) AI automatically completes the subsequent string. View ↗
