Payment methods

When you place an order, two payment options are available: Online checkout and Purchase via Wire transfer. Which options appear depends on your organization's details being complete.

Paddle: our payment provider

DbVisualizer partners with Paddle to process payments. This makes it easier for customers around the world to pay using their preferred payment methods, including local options supported in many countries (for example iDEAL, Bancontact, and a range of regional card networks).

For an overview of available payment methods by region, see Paddle's documentation: Payment methods overview.

If you have questions specifically about a payment, such as which methods are available to you, why a transaction was declined, or how a charge appears on your statement, you can contact Paddle directly for help.

Online checkout

The Online checkout card uses Paddle as the payment processor. When you select this option, Paddle's secure checkout form loads directly on the order page: you stay in the portal rather than being redirected to an external site.

Enter your card details in the embedded Paddle form and submit. Once payment is confirmed, your order status updates and your subscription becomes active without any further action needed.

If the form doesn't load

Try refreshing the page. If a payment fails, you can retry from the same order page.

Wire transfer (invoice)

Click Get invoice on the Purchase via Wire transfer card to proceed with invoice payment.

A confirmation dialog appears showing an order summary (subtotal, any discounts, estimated tax, and total). You can optionally enter a Purchase Order number here: it will be printed on the invoice. Click Confirm Invoice / Wire transfer to proceed.

After confirming, you receive payment instructions by email sent from Paddle on behalf of DbVis Software AB (the maker of DbVisualizer). The email includes wire transfer details and the invoice. Your subscription is activated once Paddle has received and reconciled your payment, not at the point of confirming the invoice.

Estimated tax

The tax amount shown in the dialog is an estimate. The final tax is calculated by Paddle at invoicing time based on your location and applicable tax rules.

Prerequisite: complete business details

The wire transfer option is only available when your organization has complete business and address details on file. If the card shows an incomplete-details warning instead of the Get invoice button, click Edit Business Info or Edit Address to fill in the missing fields, then return to the order. See Setting up your organization.

Purchase Order (PO)

If your organization uses a procurement process, click Purchase Order to open the PO flow. This is a multi-step process:

  1. PO Number: enter your internal purchase order number and click Save. This reference is included on your invoice and quote documents.
  2. PO Document: upload your purchase order document (PDF only, up to 12 MB). This step requires the PO number to be saved first.
  3. Request Review (optional): if you need access to DbVisualizer before payment is reconciled, submit a review request here. Our team reviews the request manually, typically within a few business days, and you are notified by email when it's complete. Your organization name and address must be complete to use this option.

If you skip the review request, the PO number and document are simply attached to your order, and they appear on the resulting invoice and quote. Your subscription activates once payment is received as normal.
